Why can’t I find your wholesale prices online?

We are a manufacturer of Sky Lanterns, please request our price list via email, stating the country you come from.

What is your MOQ? (Minimal Order Quantity)

Can I get Sky Lantern samples?

We offer a range of fixed sample packages, which you can order online by clicking the ‘Request Samples' link anywhere on the site.

How much is the shipping of Sky Lanterns?

We need to know the following details to be able to answer your request:

Address for delivery (City, Zip / Postal code, Country)

Can I track / trace my Lantern samples or retail order online?

We only ship using reliable services that are registered and have package numbers.

Do your Sky Lantern prices include import taxes / customs fees?

As standard our prices do not cover taxes that may be applied upon importing Sky Lanterns to your country.

Samples are unlikely to pay taxes / customs duties. Some Retail packages are required to pay customs duties before they will deliver to your address. Some countries are stricter than others, as not all retail packages are stopped, nor required to pay any further charges.

Please note: We are not responsible for taxes which may be applied in your country.

Air / Sea Freight shipments of Lanterns are always required to pay duties upon import. Please see standard shipping terms as IncoTerms 2000. Our sales consultants can advise you in these matters.

What is the lead time for my Sky Lanterns order?

Sample/Retail orders are usually shipped within 48 hours of receiving payment. Lead time on Wholesale orders will vary dependant on our production schedule for that month.

We carry large amounts of stock to help keep lead times minimal, but please request the lead time on a case by case basis.

Are your Sky Lanterns Fire Resistant?

Fire Resistant Paper (FR Paper) is optional on all Sky Lanterns, as it is not always necessary. FR Paper add-on can be seen in our price list. Our sales consultants will happily advise you.

Are your Sky Lanterns 100% Biodegradable?

No Sky Lantern is 100% biodegradable, no matter what other sellers may tell you.
We have 99.5% biodegradable Sky Lanterns and all contents can be accounted for. The most biodegradable Lanterns to date have our Metal-Free Eco-strings.

What certifications or standards do your Sky Lanterns have?

 Our Lanterns are certificated to be of the highest quality raw materials in their individual states, and once we compile them, this makes for the safest products.
After testing, all our Lanterns have been declared CE exempt, meaning they do not need to carry the CE mark for sales within the EU.)

We have also passed various other safety regulations and EU directives, mostly for fire safety and fire retardancy. (Certifications on request)

Do Sky Lanterns pose a fire risk?
 
Providing our safety instructions are followed correctly, there is no reason why good times should not be had by all. Please use common sense before launching our Sky Lanterns, and consider factors like; Wind speed/direction, obstacles, dry-standing crops, as clearly stated in our detailed safety instructions.
For those who wish to be more safety conscious, we also offer Fire Resistant Sky Lanterns.

Are there any important safety features to be aware of using Sky Lanterns?
 
Sky Lanterns are generally very safe . You must be cautious, as you would with fireworks or any other object that involves a flame. Our safety instructions are included in every bulk/retail pack. Please read them carefully and adhere to them to ensure that you and your customers use common sense to gain the maximum enjoyment from our Sky Lanterns.

How do you light Sky Lanterns?

Open out the Lantern, as you would a polythene bag, to expand to its full size. Attach the wax fuel cell to the wires of the Sky Lantern. Use a lighter to light the Fuel Cell, ensuring equal burn on several edges. The Fuel Cell should be left to burn until the Sky Lantern has filled sufficiently with hot air that it wants to pull out of your hands. Release the Sky Lantern with two hands, look up, admire and enjoy. (models may vary from that of video below)

How high do Sky Lanterns fly?

 
This depends on the following factors:
Size of Lantern,
Size / Model of heat source (fuel cell)
Ambient temperature at launch site (Ground Degrees Celsius/Fahrenheit)
Temperature fluctuations at various heights above launch site (Air Temperature)
Location of Launch site (valley, mountain, launch site shaded by wind etc)
Wind speed and direction at launch site (Ground)
Wind speed and direction above launch site (In Air)
*Lanterns top altitude can be modified, to suit regulatory restrictions, which apply in some countries.

What are the best conditions to use Sky Lanterns in?

 
We do not recommend using Sky Lanterns when it is windy. Light rain may still allow Lanterns to fly, but we strongly discourage using them when raining as this may damage them..
Best Conditions, for launching: Still weather conditions with little wind. Use in a clear open space free from obstructions, i.e. power cables, trees or buildings. For maximum visibility, a clear sky is preferable.
 

Are Sky Lanterns easy to assemble and release yourself?

Our Sky Lanterns arrive with you either in a Bulk pack (where you must attach the fuels before use) or pre-attached / ready to fly Lanterns. All orders come with assembly/safety instructions. Lanterns that are not preassembled, are simple to assemble and release alone, and do not require the use of any tools. Lanterns can be released by many people holding the same Bamboo rim at the same time, or individually.
 

How long does it take for Lanterns to be delivered?

 
Our sample/retail orders can be sent with the standard postal service. There are a range of delivery options taking from 4-90 days.
We can use various Couriers and Air-Freight traffickers to get your order to you faster than standard Sea- Freight. These couriers deliver to most countries worldwide within 7 days. Sea- Freight service takes approximately 30-45 days, but please ask about your city/country.

For sample/retail orders we can accept PayPal, Western Union and Credit Cards. Again, payment is preferred by TT bank Transfer, but we can accept these methods in all major currencies. Charges may apply.
